East London

Tonight is our last night in East London with our groovy new friends Lynn & Edouard Zola.

Beaut people, will miss these gorgeous people - it's a shame we missed seeing their children but maybe in the future...

East London is very different to Durban & Johannesburg.  Much cleaner, more relaxed and I (not sure about Jeff & Chloe) find the people more nicer.

Over the past few days, we had a swim with some more new friends that were originally from Zimbabwe playing water volleyball, eating a proper african meal of maize, mince & silverbeet.

At the back from L to R:
Mucha, Julia,Edouard, Lynn
The front L to R:
Cladious, Claudia, Tiri & Talent (she is their helper who who cooks, looks after the children.  She was sponsored by the family to come from Zimbabwe to S.A to finish her studies.  She also lives with them in their home.  Lovely girl, lovely cook)

Talking about cooking - our african meal.  Oh boy - talk about sensational!  No forks, knives, spoons - just our fingers.  Yes, Chloe did try, and ate most of the maize.

The next day, we help Lynn & Ed distribute christmas presents to the homeless people - it was a great time and they were appreciative of the presents.  I asked Lynn how many of these would have had to walk - she said most of them.  And not just a 5 or 10 min walk, I'm talking about possible hours.  I feel for them!

Here are some of the pics of the present giving:

Our supper was at Spur where the staff sang us happy birthday for our wedding anniversary for the next day!

Today being our last day, our hosts took us to the Lion Park about 10 mins drive from their home.  We had a wonderful day, finishing off at Vincent Park shopping centre.  Here are some photo's from the day:

Thank you, thank you, thank you Lynn & Edouard!
